Electro Glam Fashion 101: Get the Lady GaGa look

Mention the name Lady Gaga and the first thing that pops to mind are risque fashions, fabulous shoes and don’t forget; that fabulous voice. The world of leotards, high heel shoes and peroxide has not seen a pioneer like this since Madonna or Liberace and nothing has fans more gaga than her latest music video Just Dance.

Released earlier this year, this fabulous pantomime featuring Colby O'Donis and Akon has had tongues wagging. Young people everywhere have their IPod’s filled with the infectious beats of this electro hit. The true testament to her fame is the staggering amount of views of her Just Dance music video on YouTube. I mean, think about it like this, the scene with Lady GaGa stepping out of the limo with those fabulous black and white strappy shoes has been viewed by over 31, 000, 000 people world wide!

Lady GaGa’s eclectic dress sense epitomises the “London look”, however, as shocking as this may sound, this American born star is a New Yorker through and through, having grown up and lived most of her life in Manhattan. Whether you love or hate Lady GaGa, you can’t deny that, be it accessories or shoes, this girl has got a style of her own. Think Cher meets Grimy 80’s, but throw in a mod twist with an electro glam flavour and you’ve got Lady GaGa.

Get the Just Dance look:

Nails: GaGa nails are funky, and psychedelic. Black, pinks, blues and reds! Anything goes, as long as it’s not neutral or sensible. Nails can also be decorated with cute patterns for those true fashionistas among us. Please bare in mind that nail varnish should never, ever match shoes according to Lady GaGa.

Accessories: Boom box, diamante lighting bolt (preferably under right eye), ultra cubed sunglasses with diamante detail on them, driving gloves (both hands please), disco ball (I mean everyone has one of those, right?), huge flowery ring and last but not least, Akon (chuckle).

Clothes: “Wet Look” leggings are very in at the moment so you won’t struggle finding a pair of those. Animal print 80’s style minis, platinum bra (must show), super short dungaree shorts, metallic and black corsets and feathered headdress (optional, but so much fun).

Shoes: 5 inch high heels are the way to go! By the looks of it, the strappier the shoes the better.
